Cath Whitaker - Director
Cath started the company in 1998 in response to the need for commercial support in the technology transfer sector. Since starting Team services, Cath has worked on more than hundred projects for over 50 different clients. Cath’s main focus is market research and business planning, and she also provides sales and marketing consultancy to a number of public sector clients and SMEs. Cath runs most of the training courses, which provide commercial skill sets for academics and scientists.
Before starting the company, Cath worked for 12 years in industry, initially in pharmaceutical research and then in commercial roles for laboratory product companies. During her time in industry, Cath worked in sales, in marketing, as an export manager (Europe and Far East) and in product development. Cath has a Chemistry and Pharmacology degree from Sheffield and an MBA from Warwick.

Mark Schaefer - Director
Mark has been a director of the company since 2003 and generally focuses on IT and engineering based projects. Mark has a strong commercial background having been the marketing manager of several successful companies, including a global super brand. Through this super brand, Mark has gained familiarity with the concepts, practices and specialist agencies involved in brand licensing. Mark has also been responsible for product development and new product launches, as well as managing sales and marketing teams. Mark has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Salford University.

Mary Donnelly - Senior Associate
Mary has worked in the pharmaceutical sector since 1987, most recently at GSK and MedImmune. In 2003, Mary was Director of Research DMPK at GSK Stevenage; her department dedicated to the support of respiratory and inflammatory projects in the discovery phase. Mary then became the global project leader for the full development of novel assets for rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, cystic fibrosis and COPD.
Mary joined MedImmune in 2008 as product development leader of biologic assets for cardiovascular, autoimmune and respiratory disorders. Mary also has experience of neuroscience and cardiovascular projects.
Since becoming a consultant in 2010, Mary has specialised in providing lead optimisation and early development support to BioTech and Pharma companies
Mary has a Ph.D in Bioanalysis and Clinical Pharmacokinetics and BSc (Hons) in Chemistry.

We play an active role in the technology transfer community. We are members of Unico and regularly present at Praxis training courses, as well as occasionally lecturing for ASTP and Enterprise Ireland.
